Although referred to in the Cork pirate radio book as Capitol, this station used the traditional Capital Radio spelling, unlike their name sake in Dublin. Capital Radio Cork had been heard in the UK on MW as well as 6525kHz SW, at that time a 5th harmonic of MW 1305. It had been logged around 1310, off channel in January 1981, and also on 1314kHz with a loop tape on 3rd January 1982.

Capital Radio produced a little Christmas booklet in 1980, which is all bar the above manky sticker that we have for the station. Apologies, but it was once up in the dxarchive office stuck on glass or something. But it is the best we can do for now.
