| 1977_08_29_mon_solentcity_6270sw_signoff-gh.wav New Oct 2023 | Michael Jay with a sign off on Monday 29th August 1977 from a joint transmission with Britain Radio. Radio Solent City and Britain Radio were experimenting with a 1kW transmitter which Steve Joens of Britain Radio had brought to the Solent City QTH on the Isle of Wight. Unfortunately they had a few issues, including low modulation and had to sign off early. Steve Joens from is also heard on the sign off. As received in Leeds on 6270kHz, with much crackling. |
