1981 | Radio Nova begins test transmissions on or close to 88 FM in Stereo |
Radio Nova added a MW transmitter, on 846kHz. | |

19th March 1986 | Radio Nova closed down at 1803, with the song, "Don't Waste My Time" |
28th April 1986 | Energy 103 commenced transmissions just after 1400, Monday 28th April. |

15th November 1987 | Radio Nova returned to the airwaves on 100FM |

Energy
103 closed down, and after a few hours, around 2300, the transmissions
of Q102 took over the 99.9, and 103 FM as well as the 738kHz transmitter.
This added together with Q102's other three frequencies, gave the
station 4 FM channels and 2 AM channels. (819, 101.9, 102.3) |
December 1988 | Irish pirate era comes to a close at year end, with mass closedowns over 30th / 31st December. |
