Emerald Radio International was believed to have operated during late 1992 and possibly into 1993. The station had been announcing 6850kHz / 41mb but was later heard on 6240kHz in the main 48mb. Announcing as broadcasting from the banks of the River Liffey with 100 watts, an address for QSL cards was given out as ERI, 8 Inverness Road, Dublin 3. There was also a telephone number announced. |

1992_11_08_sun_emerald_6240sw_doctorrmartin_tonyjames-gh866.mp3 New Feb 2023 | A partially airchecked test transmission of Emerald Radio from Sunday 8th November 1992 announcing the 41mb (probably 6850kHz), but actually received on 6240kHz. As normal with shortwave, there is a lot of fading and some local interference, hence the airchecks. The signal starts to improve half way though the recording which was made near Blackpool. |

1992_12_13_sun_emerald_6240sw_doctormartin_soulshow-gh861.mp3 New Aug 2022 | Here is a short and partly airchecked recording of Doctor Martin Soul Show from the morning of 13th December 1992. A mailing adress for QSL's was announced, and names of some listeners were read out along with a hello to Paul Murray of DLR. After the end of Doctor Martin is the start of the 'Magazine Programme'. Reception near Blackpool on 6240kHz wasn't the best on this recording, with some crackling and splatter from an adjacent station (possibly Jolly Roger Radio in Waterford). | 21MB |
