Radio Sunshine operated on shortwave at the end of the 1970s, becoming
part of the 6235/7325 network. They were also heard at least
once on medium wave for which the QSL card below was received.
The medium wave service was believed to have operated in the
Manchester area. |

Rob Kemp was the deejay, and he asked people not to go to the site as there had been issues with security in a previous transmission. This signal was received in Leeds on 1325kHz, and the transmitter was thought to be in the Manchester area. This recording is not airchecked, and there is a lot of 'Luxembourg effect' type fading and heterodynes probably from the many other stations which operated late at night in those days around 227m. |
