Wirral FM / WFM
transmitted
on 90.3MHz during the mid 1980's. The station operated initially
on Sunday and a Tuesday evening, but then moved to a Tuesday
/ Wednesday night schedule, possibly to avoid all the other Merseyside stations
operating on a Sunday. According to Anoraks UK 'Weekly Report' of 23rd
December 1984, WFM were raided at 8:15pm on Tuesday evening, 18th
December and lost all equipment. The station returned during 1985 and
were seemingly last heard around March 1986. |
