1978_01_01_sun_invicta_924fm_1256-1356_rogertate.mp3 New Jul 2022 | Roger Tate with his show from New Years Day 1978, from just before the technical break where the transmitter location was apparently changed to avoid the authorities. Bob Adams also comes in for a chat. Sadly the old C120 tape of unknown manufacturer is wowing somewhat. |

1979_00_00_sun_invicta_studio_recording_rogertate_stevewalsh-gh176.mp3 New Dec 2024 | A stereo studio recording of Roger Tate and Steve Walsh on Radio Invicta. According to the chat on the programme, this was from a shorter than usual broadcast as the other staff were at a 'Bournemouth Soul Weekender'. Both parts of the transmission are here, but the actual sign-off is missing sadly. The actual date is not known, but is probably the summer of 1979. The tape was originally supplied by Roger Tate in 1979. |

1979_05_00_invicta_studio_recording_stevewalsh_rogertate_barrystevens-gh.mp3 New Jan 2023 | This is an interesting tape as it was an audio letter sent to Gary around May 1979. Roger Tate introduces the tape and plays a studio quality stereo recording of Steve Walsh from earlier in 1979 who was playing 'The Soul Poll'. After the Steve Walsh show, Roger Tate comes back and gives a bit of history of the station, as well as playing some of the inserts recorded for the station by several soul bands. Finally, Barry Stevens of European Music Radio pops in to collect the recording. Sadly, Roger Tate, Barry Stevens and Steve Walsh are no longer with us. |

1979_09_02_sun_invicta_924fm_1215-1315_tonycleveland_stevewalsh-gh.mp3 New Jul 2022 | Tony Clevelend with the 'soul poll' followed at 1pm by Steve Walsh. Steve announced it was his final 'regular' show, but would return for guest shows. This was recorded from 92.4MHz FM in mono on a portable at Alexandra Palace during a visit to the Great British Beer Festival. There were a few transmission breaks which have been left on the recording for authenticity, as well as the regular 'technical break' at around 1:30pm. |
