Radio Free Caroline was a long running station from Edinburgh that first appeared in 1971. It normally operated around 1320 khz with programming late on Saturdays nights and on Sundays from 1100-1700. Like most Edinburgh stations the transmitter power was around 100 watts meaning the station was heard over a wide area. They were off the air for around a year from early 1972 until early 1973 but on returning resumed a regular service every Sunday. The last logging we have noted of the station is on January 2nd 1975. The recordings below are of a late night broadcast from early 1973 and some co channel interference is experienced from Radio Rag. Thanks to Alan Kidd for the recordings.
