IRISH PIRATES A / Z

Radio Rainbow was a name used by several Irish stations in the 1980's on AM, FM and SW.  Little is known about this particular operation which was heard in Dublin during May 1984 on 104.1MHz FM. Judging by the comments heard during the recording below, the station did seem to have a daily schedule.

1984_05_06_sun_rainbow_1041fm_2040-2210_tonyoreilly_signoff-gh250.mp3  New Feb 2024 Sunday evening 6th May 1984 with Tony O'Reilly up until sign off at 10pm. Calls were going out for one of the other station staff, Paul Martin, to return to the studio, and a phone number was being given out to take callers live on the air. There were no callers on this part of the show. The audio goes a little distorted from half way through the recording. Following sign off at 10pm, there were some engineering tests being carried out, with an announcement. Recorded in the Merrion area of Dublin from 104.1MHz. 121MB
