The front and back of the QSL card for the former 600kW medium wave outlet on 1475kHz. This transmitter and frequency was removed from service when the Austrian Radio decided to concentrate all its internal services on FM only.

The final closedown of the service was in December 2008, and the towers for both 585 and 1476 were demolished live on TW1 tv in February 2010. The 1476 transmitter had carried Blue Danube Radio on a Saturday night during 1979 - about 1981???

The SW service of the Austrian Radio included the respected dx programme, Austrian SW Panorama.
