LATINS OVER THE LAST DAYS:

I have not had much to report over the last days. I have been recording, except Sunday night / Monday morning when there more than just a threat of lightning. We had torrential rain and a lot of thundery weather around, so everything that could be disconnected, was.

Logs from the last few days. I should manage some audio clips soon..

I have been setting the recordings to receive via the shorter westerly beverage in recent days, in the hope of some Latin American dx. Today it paid off..

LATINS AGAIN TODAY:

I have a few more logs from today from SS speaking Americas. Capital Peru on 1470, but 1600 had WUNR, and 1570 was a mess. 1350 had a strong SS today. The 0404 recording is by far the best.

1190 mx stn. tk in ss 0414. local qrn as well. 2/5
1350 ss 0347 mix with music stn. poss different stn from below?? 2/5 clip not particularly well edited. will shorten.
1350 id like radio 1350 noted 0355, prob same stn as below 2/5.
1350 0404 loud signal and ss ads, poss id at end (and same clip twice at start) 2/5

UPDATE: TELE RADIO 1350 ECUADOR. 0355 and 0404. Tnx to Paul C for the help with that...

I have been quite surprised by the signal from this morning's 0400 file. There were a number of the more regular Peruvians kicking up stink this morning. 1570, 1470, 1500 to name the three strongest. I had weak North Americans eg from common 1390, 1510, 1520 1540 as well..... So condx not 100% all latin.

MORE SAD INTERNATIONAL EVENTS:

More sad news on the International scene, as the Korean Ferry sinks.

One thing has struck me in the media reports over the last couple of weeks is something that has been in the news more than once in recent times.

During various major disasters, some half wit that claims to be in charge tells the poor public to stay where they are, in this occasion school kids it seems were told by a so called ships captain to stay inside. Inside a sinking ship. Now there's a clever thing to do.

Would you stay inside a sinking vessel, or take your chance up on deck?? After all it was at sea??

That punk so called captain who ordered everyone to stay where they were on a sinking ship should have had his disguise hood removed and shamed to the world that first day on CNN!!! Just before the excecution of course!!!

The guy was obviously not fit to captain a kids boating pond peddle boat in the park. I wonder what type of papers if any you need in Korea to master a ferry?? They would be as well hiring Somali pirates to master their ships.

In the UK the cops are under pressure again to hold a proper enquiry re the football stadium disaster in Northern England, when the cops were charged with refusing to let fans onto the pitch to avoid the deadly crush. For this mass murder the cops have gone scott free for 25 years.

There is also the famous and well documented 9/11 story of the idiot on the tannoy telling people to stay in their offices. In a building that is on fire, .. yea that sounds like a great idea.

So the moral is, if you are ever in a dodgy situation where some fool is shouting at you to stay where you are... hit him / them over the head with a brick, and run for your life.
