CLIPS 2009 A site mainly dedicated to Mediumwave Dxing |
| WELCOME to the audio clip page. From 2009, this will be the main page for links to clips of the radio stations from dx receivers here in Scotland. This serves as a resource to MW dxer's who may want to hear a specific top of the hour announcement. There are clips taken from the various web streams, which are clearly marked in red, and are placed at the bottom of each frequency entry. Some recordings are older, taken from the page already on line for a number of years. Many of the clips on the old page are of inferior quality, and are left out. They may have been personal firsts or even FKR-UK, but the station will in many cases have been heard with a much better signal since the recording was made. I did wonder whether to keep all the old clips on line. Some are so poor, they are only available via the old audio clip page. The idea behind the new style page is to have a large archive of top of the hour ID's using the best recordings available. Of course, this takes time to complete and add to. All recordings made in 2008 onwards are from a Perseus SDR. MP3's are recorded with decent bitrates on this page. |
