Southern Radio broadcast to South East London and
formed out of Radio 220 and
were heard from early 1979 until 1983
when they had a name change to South
East Sound. The station had a rock music format and were
renowned for their 'Tender Trip' free radio programme.
The station continued operating under this name until 1986.

The recording sounds like it might have been done on the move in a car, as the signal starts to fade in and out at the end. |
