County Radio appeared to be split from Radio Jackie in late 1981 and served
the South West of London and Surrey.
The station broadcast a more community orientated type format than other music
free radio stations.
Their frequency was 1278kHz
announced as 235m.
We have a recording of them from January 1983, but nothing any later, so we are not sure when and why they closed down.
Perhaps the staff joined back up with Radio Jackie when that station pursued at 7 day per week schedule.
