The following photos Taken in late October 1984, during a visit to the Republic of Ireland. Radio Carousel Navan had been running about three years by this stage. |
Above is the car park around the Navan Shopping Centre, and in the middle is the Radio Carousel mast. The antenna wire goes from the top of the building to the top of the mast. The FM aerial on the mast brought in the Dundalk service for relays, in particular Hugh Hardy's Country Call. Inside the shopping centre one of the structures housed the station. (See Below) |
Two different angles of the amazing studio in the glass house in the middle of the shopping centre. Due to the strong sunlight through the roof, it was difficult to get a good photo of the entire structure. |
Navan reception desk at the station with Kieran Murray. Listeners could come here to drop in their requests. On this particular day Kieran was in the morning at the Navan station and had to travel to Dundalk for a programme in the afternoon. |
Above is the studio just after mid-day, whilst the network was relaying Hugh Hardy's Country Call. |

Tina Anderson poses for a photo during her morning show.Again, the closeness of the shops can be seen through the studio window. |
