PHOTOGRAPHS FROM A 1983 VISIT TO BLB

Here are some further photographs (some rather poorly taken unfortunately) from our visit to BLB in April 1983.

The station had moved from the old Victorian building in the town, to a seafront location at 1 The Strand.

The station had also by then, moved to 657kHz medium wave, broadcasting from a hillside transmission site just outside the town, and had a stronger FM signal. The photograph below shows the station building. Although you cannot tell from the photograph itself, we seem to remember it was actually built on the 1st floor roof of another building.
