Ashbourne Community Radio was a short term festival station which operated in County Meath. It was first logged in Scotland during August 1980 on 1233kHz, and was believed to have been the same transmitter that ended up at KELO. In 1981 it was again on the air and made its final broadcast on 14th June that year. At the end of the live programming the staff were uncertain as to whether they would return in 1982, as new pirate radio legislation was expected. (As it turned out, it was 1988 before legislation was implemented)  The frequency of this broadcast is not known, as it was not menioned on this recording, and the tape label says 184m, which would be off the end of the band. By this time, 1233kHz used the previous year, was being used by KELO in Swords.
